Nice fix! And no fur rubbed the wrong way. It’s a good point, and off I go to tweak the text hither & yon. Ten years in: what I really want to know is, can you report that toddlerhood only lasts a few years? And that an Age of Reason emerges?

Hi,
Feels a bit rude to be chipping in like this as a first comment on your blog! Just one little thing I wanted to say about your Lesbian Dad definition. Something made me uncomfortable the first time I read it and I’ve just realised what it is.
You say:
“Often she’s the non-biological parent in a lesbian family”
This makes it sound a little like there *has* to be one (non-biological parent), or that there *can* only be one.
How about:
“Often she’s a non-biological parent in a lesbian family”?

It’s only a little picky issue!

Most of these terms are entirely new to me – ten years into ‘two mummies’ parenthood. Probably because I’m British. I do have a vague memory of alternative insemination…
