Sunset over the Gate, the autumnal version, Berkeley, CA.
This happens a handful of times a year, the sun behind the gate, on its northward and southward sweeps. Darn tootin’ my kids are going to know how special it is.
I'll be reading, along with over a dozen other fantastic local lady-writer-parents, at the San Francisco Listen To Your Mother show, Sunday, May 12th at the SF JCC. Check us out!

LesbianDad is a personal essay/photography blog. It began as a document of my parenthood but, like life, its ambit has stretched to include much more than I expected. My kids call me "Baba," and together we work toward a world in which amor really does vincit omnia.

You are such an amazing photographer! Exceptional moment, well captured.
Thank you and thank you. Sister, the only thing more fantabulous than the sun dropping right behind the gate was the fact that we got to watch it do that with you standing right next to us. Also? Your vision of this moment (folks, check it out at her Instagram here) was equally fantabulous!
