Here's a note from recently registered reader mindbodymama:

I so hear you on this one. My daughter's been keeping me in line for a few
years now. Thank goodness for the next generation, maybe they will find a way
to save our beautiful planet?

Here's how my girl tries:

You are if you don't get to be in on the candy consumption.

As to what's up over here, I am nearly completely clueless. Though I might search for one clue here: she gets cared for one afternoon a week by a radicalesbian grandmother who was going to be a human shield in Iraq, right before W's war there (I mean, nominated by her regional Buddhist Peace Fellowship peeps), but ultimately didn't go because she had a fresh grandchild, and realized she was needed here.

Sometimes her framing of issues can seem stark, a little more black & white than I'd pose (radical, maybe?). But it fits perfectly into the stout hearts of children, who feel right and wrong very strongly, and see no reason (yet) why we all can't go out and just fix things. Surely one of the top 5 reasons humans keep propagating. This vision is often very hard to keep clear long enough for us olsters realize it.

My daughter started a secret club too but, in her club, they eat candy. Clearly, I'm doing something very wrong.
