Thank you, angelina. And alas, no: we have the classic, Harold and the Purple Crayon. But that's as purple as we get. I will scour the bookstore &/or harass the bookstore clerk, our next visit!

Thanks, karunarhay! I'd actually seen it, and the other one done by the same folks, The Defenders. They're great. One wonders where this talent was before the Prop8 election. Were we deer in the headlights of a campaign strategy dictated unwisely by top-down style organizations? Disbelieving of the extent, nature, and location of homophobia in the state, and of the impact of the anti-gay organizing done by the Yes side? All of the above?

One of the saddest things to me (and many others) is, I think a lot of us were out organizing for Obama. One of several reasons why, even though I do not relish another high-speed car-chase type election battle (i.e., rushing to ballog in 2010), we might not want the next CA marriage equality battle to compete with an Obama re-election campaign for attention and resources. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice -- you get the picture.

I don't know if you've seen this yet, but I thought that you might enjoy it (Or as much as it is possible to considering why it was created): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ntC0PNHFRgU

Scrumptious! Miguel asks, "Who do you love more, me or Zeca?" I tell him that I love them the same amount but in different ways. His response? "Oh c'mon mom!" Ah...the first born. My point is that I feel the same as you do...I love them both more than words could ever explain and I love them differently.
