Per usual, more to say here than I have time (or, right now, energy) with which to say it. I hope the slideshow above works for you. I’ve captioned each image separately, so if you open the link (?) and view the images directly, you can find out what was up.
I will say that the morning had one bright spot. I saw NCLR shero Kate Kendell before the decision was released, and was able to give her a hug, a kiss on the cheek, and an “amor vincit omnia” button as some kind of good luck talisman. Which it will be. In the long term.
Now off to the Day of Decision rally.
Lesbian Dad is written by a parent who answers to the name "Baba" and works toward a world in which amor does indeed vincit omnia. 
Thanks for being there and sharing, though much of it is anguish-ridden. Teary, that’s me right now.
What a bittersweet day. As heartbroken as the ruling leaves me, I still have to be pleased that your marriage and family – and so many others – have been at least somewhat reaffirmed. Today was not quite the step forward that one might have hoped, but it is at least not a step backwards.
Meanwhile, like you, I take great hope in Squirrel Nutkin. This is not the end, not by a long shot. The situation that this ruling has created is not tenable; something must inevitably shift. And while we wait, we hope, we love, and we find reasons to laugh. That, at least, no one can take.

I wanted to let you know that I woke up today hoping for the best for you, your family and for our nation as a whole. I came across your site through LookyDaddy a few months ago and have been reading (including all your older entries) ever since. From as far away as North Carolina, just know that there are people that wish this had turned out differently.
The only thing that kept me from throwing my coffee cup across the room at 1 PM Eastern Time was that it had “Lesbian Dad” printed on it.
Would that the cat had had the same printed across it, too.
I got the news this afternoon when I returned to Reno. I am so, so sorry, and I look forward to overturning this travesty when I can vote in California.
