Oh, Stewart was simply amazing. Amazing. We reserved a room at the school for folks who wanted to watch the arguments, thanks to streaming video and fancy room electronics. Unfortunately I had class at 9 and missed Shannon Minter, but Stewart was simply poetry in motion. The way she was able to stay on point, and always direct her responses to questions back to the point was simply beautiful.

And yeah…a whole room full of law students agrees with you about Krueger. I can’t tell if he was just horribly inexperienced at arguing in such a context (if so, shame on the AG for sending in someone that green), or if he personally was entirely flummoxed at having to argue such a horribly baseless position (if so, shame on the AG for trying to push forward such flimsy legal theory). Either way, shame on the AG.

Wonderful! Thanks for sharing the view-from-the-street, er, plaza. I watched all three hours solo via the web, and am glad to have this taste of spirited melee outside the courtroom.

From what I saw and what you’ve shared, it sounds like our future may indeed lie out in the streets rather than in the courts. Sad comment on our judicial system, but hopeful for the hearts and minds of the next generation.

Edgy yet hopeful, that would be it. Sadly, after watching the proceedings, I'm more edgy than hopeful. But. There's no question none of us is giving up. Welcome marthavictoria1981! Welcome indeed. oof, what a day! thanks LD for summarizing more than the just the arguments, but also the texture of the morning. you’ve captured well the edgy yet hopeful reality we’re all faced with. it’s sounds as nerve wracking and chaotic as i would have expected. i commend you on your tenacious reporting. yes, i can see the hug behind the camera woman, and that power puff girl bling. so… now…we…wait…and…we…wait. oy. could we hear in less than 90 days? i continue to relish your blog mit coffee mit cream in the ams (and, ahem, for breaking news). keep it up!

great job
