There are many reasons I am excited that I’ll be moving to California (never thought I’d say that, but I am!), and one of them is that next time I vote, I’ll be in Yolo County.

I feel you–and it’s most assuredly true. Even just in the microcosm of queer activism that was the No on 8 campaign, the trouble sleeping, anxious stomach and constant dread didn’t happen until I moved out here and began volunteering significantly. I had known it was important previously, and was worried, but it didn’t become thoroughly gut wrenching until that point.

All the more reason for us to be grateful for our family of co-activists to help us keep each other going.
