I was just chatting with a friend who recently married an Idahodian. Is that what those folks are called? Probably not. Anyway, she wrote the following:

“And I’m talking politics with at least a few of my new family members—some of them I just back away from politics because there are some views that make my jaw drop. One of them said he’s voting for Obama because he knows he’ll fix the economy—by n*r rigging it. And I just looked at him stupefied before saying that he’s got the right candidate but the most offensive reason I’ve ever heard. He was contrite, but it was a leetle uncomfortable after that.

“It’s unbelievable that that isn’t even uncommon. One of my online friends was doing some door to door canvassing for Obama. At one door, she asked the lady who they were voting for. The lady’s husband hollered from inside, “Tell her we’re voting for the n*r.” “We’re voting for the n*r,” the woman said brightly. ”

Change is so damn messy, even when it’s happening in the right direction. Continuing to hold you all in our hearts; I sent our donation this morning – I’m just sorry it couldn’t be more.
