Just in time for Pride!

momsalesbo

Yeah, well, so.

In lieu of selling ads, and also in lieu of selling my organs, I will commence a six-month trial period during which I will sell SWAG (dedicated LD page here). With snappy slogans and captions on it. All of which to try to underwrite put a dent in the cost of publishing this blog, which I love to do, but cannot afford without some help.

I figure heck: people wear clothing, right? And get some of it for their kids and friends, right?

So go check this stuff out. We got us a dozen peppy slogans and they just keep comin’. Right in time for Pride, if you rush the delivery! You can rest easy, knowing that the extremely modest proceeds of the sale will help defray the publishing costs of indie, lesfam new media. Er, meaning yrs truly.

What about a t-shirt that says “Lesbian Dad”?

Welcome to CafePress! I’ve been a CP shopkeeper for several years (my main shop is zoescloset) and have had a really positive experience. The community is very strong and if you want to put some time into your shop, there are *many* free resources available that other shopkeepers have created. Good luck.

Strangely, I cannot find the “Amor vincit omnia” t-shirt?

  4. 4 ullalauridsen

How about “…with freedom and equality for all…” I’m sure that’s a quote about USA - but from whom or what?

  5. 5 LesbianDad

Thank you for the welcome erin. I have much to learn. Though I’m now adept at de-selecting the THONG.

Alhall and ulla, ask and ye shall receive. Okay, ye shall be able to see it online, and receive only if you shell out.

I’d love to support but I have too many t-shirts and mugs already (though yours are cute). Is it possible to contribute directly? How about a voluntary subscription button? Or a LesbianDad membership, a la NPR?

Well, all I can say is FINALLY! Swag and LesbianDad are as natural a pairing as any I can think of.

You might mine your pithy post titles for more ideas… “Licensed to Thrill” with a photo of a (post May 17th) marriage license?

I love the merch! At last year’s pride, I was inspired by an ad from ZipCar that read “Some of our best cars are gay” and made a shirt for my sister that read “One of my best sisters is gay” using fabric paint. Obviously the wording can be swapped around, but the general idea might lead to more cute catch-phrases for future merch.

I’m with alhall. Make a LesbianDad t-shirt and I’ll buy it before you can say Lindsay Wagner.

  10. 10 LookyDaddy

Oh, wait. You already did. Oh well… Lindsay Wagner!

  11. 11 LesbianDad

You say Lindsay Wagner and I bet a lot of lesbians will take of their shirts.

  12. 12 LookyDaddy

    LD: Don’t think I haven’t tried that.

  13. 13 ullalauridsen

How about “Mom Mom Me” underneath each other.

  14. 14 ullalauridsen

    Or like this

    Mom Mom
    Me

  15. 15 ullalauridsen

    “Me” centered, obviously.

  16. 16 LesbianDad

In keeping with a developmentally appropriate and healthy ego-centrism.
    :)

Also in keeping with graphic design “Do’s n’ Don’ts.”
