Proposition 8
A great many helped fundraise to fight Prop 8. Check out the Love Train Hall of Fame on the LD No on 8 page.

PRESIDENT ELECT BARACK OBAMA. OMFG.
Obama's victory speech, w/transcript
Doves and hummingbirds and birds of paradise fly out of this man's mouth; he uses the word "humility" in a victory speech. That's our new president. Oh, and this.

Lesbian Dad 101
Lesbian Dad is written by a parent who answers to the name "Baba" and works toward a world in which amor does indeed vincit omnia. Still curious? You'll find a ton more on the About page. Baffled by the lingo? Peruse the Glossary. For the proper immersion experience, I highly recommend a visit to the Best of LD.

- Lesbian Dad commented on Flash! Anti-gay marriage campaigns cause psychological distress to
gaypeople! saying Yeah. I got your chocolate chip cookies right here, bub. But no, seriously. Several people in our regional LGBT parents' organization wrote our email list with wrenching emotional dilemmas regarding people who described themselves as friendly neighbors, whatever, and said "It's not personal; it's not anything about you; I love you and your kids," - JenRink commented on Flash! Anti-gay marriage campaigns cause psychological distress to
gaypeople! saying Thank you, thank you, thank you! It is so nice to finally have a diagnosis. Even though I and everybody else I know has been physically, emotionally, and mentally traumatized by this over the last few months on some level I kind of felt like we were all just taking this a little - Shane commented on Flash! Anti-gay marriage campaigns cause psychological distress to
gaypeople! saying I wish I could come up with somethign more, um ... I mean less, um ... obvious I suppose, other than a great big old DUH! I'll think it over and try to post a comment filled with wit and lacking in sarcasm later. - Maggie commented on Flash! Anti-gay marriage campaigns cause psychological distress to
gaypeople! saying I'm heterosexual, and I felt very directly affected by the passing of yes on 8. My very best friend is gay, and so naturally, I want her to have the same rights that I do, and for her future family to have the same level of acceptance that I hope mine will. Then - anotherothermother commented on Breaking: Court will hear challenges to Prop 8* saying My 2 cents is that the strength of the legal arguments for or against invalidating Prop 8 will only go so far w/ the California Supremes. I think some of them will be very unlikely to invalidate a proposition that was approved by 52% of the voters, in fear of a recall campaign.
- caitlin commented on Breaking: Court will hear challenges to Prop 8* saying That is an *awesome* picture. Lucky you!! She came to speak at Berkeley when I was a law student and I remember being so impressed by her drive and earnestness. Her purpose is clear; she is so powerfully committed to doing her work in this world. Glad she's on our team!
