LesbianDad is a personal essay/photography blog. It began as a document of my parenthood but, like life, its ambit has stretched to include much more than I expected. My kids call me "Baba," and together we work toward a world in which amor really does vincit omnia.

Way to go, Lil Monkey!
I appreciate your overlooking the tags. Facing out. At the front.
Can I safely assume you’ve been hearing these phrases lately?
“No, Baba, I want to do it MYSELF!”
“I can do it ALONE!”
“I don’t need your help!”
Ah, lil’ monkey’s growing up.
Mmmm yup. That would be a big 10-4.
Maybe Baba’s growing up too.
Lookout, world.
I can’t tell if that’s a triumphant face, or a defiant face. She’s got sort of a “are you lookin’ at ME?” vibe here. Come on, fess up – you didn’t… laugh, did you?
That little girl will grow up to be dangerously pretty. Watch out, world of tomorrow.
Pearl dresses herself similarly. Great photo.
Man this cracks me up every time I look at it. It’s the hair, I think, but also the tag.
If it’s any consolation, the other day I wore my shirt inside out to work and had to leave it that way because I’d only noticed it after my boss saw me. I figured it’d be too obvious to turn it back the right way; since we’re a casual office, maybe he’d just think it was a purposeful choice.
