It's not Berkeley, but Cambridge is a close second in liberalness. It took me a while to understand why my gay friends at school aren't out to their parents. It's just never seemed like it would be an issue to me. But then my friends started teasing me that that's because I have a Cambridge (or Massachusetts) family. Personally, I think it's pretty cool. This is why I love where I’m from.
