LesbianDad is a personal essay/photography blog. It began as a document of my parenthood but, like life, its ambit has stretched to include much more than I expected. My kids call me "Baba," and together we work toward a world in which amor really does vincit omnia.

Awwww. Melt!
It’s amazing how quickly you forget how small the bran-new ones are. Even the bran-new ones that come in size XL. He looks so sweet there with big sis.
I’m sorry. Just give me a minute with him, will you?
Hewwo! Oh, hewwo, widdle bunny! Who’s a widdle bunny? YOU are! Yes, YOU are! Oh the liddle bookee-wookee wookums! YES you are! So cute! So cute!
Thanks.
!!!!!
I soo couldn’ta put it better myself! Step right over here &
i’ll hold the drool cup under yer lip. After I’ve washed it of mine.
I’m with Liza. Even really big babies are SO small. Both of my kids were over 9 pounds and they still seemed so tiny.
Yow! Both over 9lbs! I wouldn’t bowl with something that heavy. But you’re both right: even XL in this range is so inky dinky.
I also love how SERIOUS they seem at that age with no facial muscles to smile… It is as though they are just taking it all in. “So THAT’s what that sound was!!!”
His chin and the picture of he and Mama sleeping together are just amazing! I can’t stop looking!
Thanks for this!
My little Rocky always had what her grandma called her “look of consternation”. Now at two and a half you can still catch glimpses of it.
That is one mature three-day old. Great job with keeping us in the loop via pics, LD.
